Eligibility

Explains who can apply for a Skills Bootcamp.

Skills Bootcamps are free flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for people looking for a new role or job opportunity. The courses will help you to build up specialist in-demand skills and guarantee you an interview with a local employer.

You may be eligible to apply for a Skills Bootcamp if you:

  • are aged 19 or over
  • have the right to work in the UK
  • live in England
  • meet residency requirements – the training provider can check this

There is a high demand for some Skills Bootcamps and places are limited.

Skills Bootcamps are available to people in a wide range of situations, including those:

  • looking for new employment opportunities
  • considering an apprenticeship
  • wanting to progress with their current employer

You could be working (including self-employed or part-time) or be out of work. If you claim Universal Credit, you can apply and continue to claim benefits.

Contact the training provider to apply for the course and to check for the full eligibility criteria.
